Honours Programme 2007
Use the following information to guide your decision making and research.
The Honours Programme is about maintaining a high standard of excellence in all that you present.
There are three levels of attainment within the Honours Programme this year. It is up to you to decide which one you would like to strive for. The requirements for each are as follows:
The Honours Certificate
- A Personal Interest Project (PIP) to be undertaken during Terms 2, 3 and 4 and to be presented at the Honours Expo evening on November 27.
The Honours Medallion
- A Personal Interest Project (PIP) See above.
- A response to the Principal’s Task. Mr XXXXXX will shortly provide a topic that you must investigate and create a response to. This may take any form and does not have to include writing. You may, for example, wish to demonstrate your understanding of the topic through artworks, a musical composition, a photographic essay or a slideshow. This response will also need to be presented with your research task on November 27.
- Sustained involvement with a Co-Curricular activity from one or more of the following parameters:
- Music
- Representative Sport
- Future Problem Solving/ Debating / Tournament of Minds etc
The Socratic Trophy
- A Personal Interest Project (PIP) See above.
- A response to the Principal’s Task. See above.
- Sustained involvement in a Co-Curricular Activity. See above.
- Regular or significant involvement in Community and School Service.
